This Privacy Policy explains how SoleScan (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the SoleScan mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We are built to collect as little personal data as possible.

Sneaker photos. When you scan a sneaker, the photo you capture or select is sent to our identification service to recognize the model and return its details. Photos are used to process your request and are not used to identify you personally.
Saved scans. Your identified sneakers and collection are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your collection to our servers.
Usage & diagnostics. We use analytics to understand how the App is used (e.g. features opened, crashes) so we can improve it. This data is aggregated and does not identify you.
Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple and our payments provider. We receive your subscription status (active, trial, expired) but never your full payment-card details.

We do not collect your name, contacts, precise location, or browsing history.

2. How We Use Information

To identify sneakers and return resale value, authenticity, and details.
To operate features like price-drop alerts and your saved collection.
To process and restore subscriptions.
To diagnose problems and improve the App.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted providers that may process limited data on our behalf:

Google Firebase (analytics & backend infrastructure) — see Google’s Privacy Policy.
Adapty (subscription management).
Apple (App Store purchases & in-app subscriptions).

4. Notifications

If you enable price-drop alerts, we send push notifications about sneakers you choose to track. You can turn these off anytime in iOS Settings.

5. Data Retention

Scan photos are processed to fulfill your request and are not retained for long-term profiling. Your collection lives on your device and is deleted when you delete the App. Aggregated analytics may be retained to improve the service.

6. Children’s Privacy

SoleScan is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Because your collection is stored locally, you can delete it at any time by removing items in the App or uninstalling it. For other requests, contact us below.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
